69 :: Moving from Leaflet to Recline

So yesterday I added some icons to the bus and mail layers of my simple Leaflet map and today I uploaded these to this site using git.

When I started doing the research on what might be the best way (for me) to bring in an external data source into my map, I realized that perhaps I shouldn’t have been using Leaflet for my maps at all. So I decided to try using recline.js, since this is what was built for : a Leaflet library with easy connections to external data sources.

So, I’m going back and making my simple maps in recline.

Because recline.js uses so many dependencies, it took me more time than expected just to their simple tutorial example, but I eventually got it done.

And I learned my lesson: placement of javascript matters!
